What is ADHD coaching?
ADHD coaching is a practical, supportive process that helps you create strategies and make changes that work for your brain. It’s not the same as therapy, and it’s not advice. It’s a form of life coaching that creates a collaborative space where we explore what’s working, what’s not and how to bridge the gap, so you can live the life you want and do what matters to you.
This might mean:
Identifying how your ADHD shows up day-to-day
Finding support with focus, time management, energy or emotions
Developing habits, routines and tools that actually stick
Exploring burnout, self-criticism or masking
Setting meaningful goals and taking action to move you forward
ADHD coaching is neurodiversity-affirming, practical and always centred on you and your priorities.
Is ADHD coaching recommended?
Yes, ADHD coaching is recommended for people with ADHD or AuDHD, and that’s backed by both New Zealand and Australian clinical guidelines.
The New Zealand ADHD Clinical Principles Framework recommends ADHD coaching, mindfulness practices and healthy lifestyle support as part of treatment and ongoing care for adults with ADHD.
The Australian Clinical Practice Guideline for ADHD also highlights lifestyle changes, coaching and education about ADHD as key parts of effective management.
At ADHD Wellbeing, we support all of these areas. If you’re looking to better understand your ADHD, build routines that work, improve your wellbeing or learn practical tools for focus and emotional regulation, we would love to help.
Are you qualified coaches?
Yes, and we're glad you asked!

“When I was diagnosed ADHD my psychiatrist recommended ADHD coaching for help with time management and getting stuff done. Jayne helped me with this and also shared some good tips to use when I get frustrated with myself or feel anxious. It was good to be able to talk about things too. I would recommend her to anyone who wants help with the challenges of ADHD.”
SR – Wellington, New Zealand
“The strategies we covered in the coaching were really useful to help my executive function. Jules gave me helpful ideas to try and was very understanding of my struggles (not judging, etc) as well as helping me identify my strengths. I appreciated the support to find what worked and how to practically implement these changes.”
KS – Wellington, New Zealand
“Having the ability to chat through ideas and say them out loud really helped shine a light on some things for me. Jayne helped me work on habit stacking and making meaningful lifestyle changes. I would recommend Jayne to everyone, and anyone who would like to implement healthy changes.”
TL – Horowhenua, New Zealand
“The coaching process with Jules allowed me to explore what was going on and discover things I “knew” but couldn’t make sense of. I found our coaching sessions to be a helpful reflective process, especially in terms of identifying self-limiting beliefs and finding practical solutions to problems.”
CC – Wellington, New Zealand
